Senator Rawson is working for you
For over 20 years Senator Rawson has been working hard for the people of New Mexico. He has always been looking out for your family and would like to continue doing his best for you and Southern New Mexico.
“We passed a balanced budget with no tax increases. Senate Takes Lead in Special Session to Help New MexicansTuesday, August 19, 2008 The New Mexico State Senate was successful in passing legislation that will help New Mexicans with tax rebates and healthcare for children without putting the state in a bind because of an uncertain budget surplus. The bills were designed carefully so legislators during the upcoming Regular Session in January could take any corrective action if the surplus projection is reduced even further. In only a few weeks time, the projected surplus was reduced from $400 million down to a little over $200 million. Many Republican Senators were guarded about the surplus being reduced even more so they were cautious in passing legislation. |
